OECD Environmental Monograph 110 defines inspection as:
An on-site examination of the test facility's procedures and practices to assess the degree of compliance with Good Laboratory Practice Principles.
The same guidance document also explains that records of activities and outcomes will be kept by the Good Laboratory Practice Monitoring Authority.
Most of a Good Laboratory Practice Inspector's time is spent on this activity.
