Monitoring Authority Responsibilities
What is the purpose of compliance monitoring?
Each member country of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) should review the compliance of test facilities under it's jurisdiction with the GLP Principles.
This is done so that they can be confident of the quality and reliability of the data generated at these locations.
As a result, other countries can be assured of the standards and will also accept the data.
This mutual acceptance of test data is intended to avoid duplicative testing and save costs.
