There should be a procedure to cope with this eventuality. When the study has been completed, the final report should be complete and accurate. However, mistakes can occur.
To allow for possible errors in the report, the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice state that:
Corrections and additions to the final report should be in the form of amendments. Amendments should clearly specify the reason for the corrections or additions and should be signed and dated by the Study Director.
