Next, the study plan should include detail on the test methodology to be used, including:
- The characterisation of the test system - e.g. the animal species and strain
- The justification for the selection of the test system
- The method of administration of the test item and the reason for its choice.
- The dose levels, and the frequency and duration of exposure
