The objective of this Module is to introduce you to Good Clinical Practice, usually abbreviated to GCP. You will understand the origins of current thinking on the ethics of clinical research, through an examination of some of the important events in the history of clinical experimentation.

You will also learn about the significant events throughout the history of drug development that have contributed to our current thinking on the purpose of Good Clinical Practice in the modern pharmaceutical industry.
