Examples of Good Manufacturing Practice Failures
Despite the introduction of legislation and public knowledge regarding the poor performance of pharmaceutical companies, the adoption of Good Manufacturing Practices was not rapid. While the overall number of medical incidents reduced, there are still many examples of manufacturing practice failings.
The next section of this Module looks at some examples of poor performance from companies based in the USA. This was not because US companies were solely responsible for all incidents, rather that the amount of information in the public domain is significantly higher than elsewhere in the world, making them easier to study.
